- protect the rights, safety, and property of Houseticker, our users, and others.
We may also create aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual and use that information for analytics, research, product development, and other lawful purposes.
3. Information About Properties Is Different From User Information
Houseticker displays information relating to real estate, including property addresses, listings, sales, prices, market activity, and other property-related records obtained from third-party or public sources.
This Privacy Policy primarily concerns personal information relating to users of Houseticker.
The presence of an address or property record within Houseticker does not necessarily mean that Houseticker has collected personal information about the person who owns, occupies, listed, purchased, or sold that property.
4. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information to service providers that help us operate Houseticker, such as providers of:
- cloud hosting and infrastructure;
- databases and storage;
- authentication;
- email delivery;
- customer support;
- analytics;
- error monitoring;
- security;
- payment processing; and
- other technical services.
These providers may process information on our behalf for the purposes of providing their services.
We may also disclose information:
Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
- investigate fraud or security issues;
- enforce our agreements;
- protect Houseticker, our users, or others; or
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Business Transactions
If Houseticker is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
With Your Direction
We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or give us permission.
5. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
Houseticker does not currently sell personal information for money.
Houseticker also does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If our practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices or opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law.
6. Analytics
We may use analytics services to help us understand how users interact with Houseticker.
Depending on the analytics technology used, these services may receive technical information such as IP addresses, device information, pages viewed, and interactions with the Service.
We use analytics information to understand usage, improve Houseticker, identify errors, and evaluate features.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Service, maintain accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it was collected.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, aggregate, or de-identify it, subject to applicable legal obligations.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.
However, no website, database, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You use online services at your own risk.
If you have reason to believe your account or information has been compromised, please contact us.
9. Your Choices
Account Information
Where available, you may update certain account information and preferences through your account settings.
You may unsubscribe from promotional or market-update emails using the unsubscribe link contained in those messages.
We may still send communications necessary to administer your account or provide requested services.
Cookies
You may control cookies through browser settings and any privacy controls made available through Houseticker.
10. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
Some browsers and browser extensions provide privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) or “Do Not Track.”
Because Houseticker does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is currently no sale or advertising sharing from which a user needs to opt out.
Where applicable law requires us to recognize a legally valid opt-out preference signal, we will honor that signal as required.
Traditional “Do Not Track” signals do not have a universally accepted technical or legal standard, and Houseticker does not currently respond differently to them unless required by applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy
Houseticker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, contact us at [email protected].
12. Third-Party Websites and Services
Houseticker may contain links to or use services provided by third parties.
Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information to third parties.
13. Processing in the United States
Houseticker is operated in the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.
If you access Houseticker from outside the United States, applicable data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Houseticker evolves or as legal requirements change.
When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.
